I have always believed that the ability to help people establish and meet their financial and estate planning goals is the essence of my business. I strive to assist clients in understanding where their money is and to help them devise a plan to make it work harder for them. My greatest reward comes from knowing I've helped my clients secure their financial futures.
My philosophy is that most clients have an abundance of risk with little or no return. Today, I do not focus on utilizing any form of securities (i.e. mutual funds, variable annuities, stocks, etc.) with my clients because of my belief that the risk/return relationship has become inverted and does not provide a enough value for the type of clients that I currently work with: Those whose primary goals are to 1) have adequate income; 2) have lower risks and stress levels regarding their money; and 3) make sure they never outlive their money.
I am a firm believer in the use of fixed index annuities and life insurance vehicles because I realized over the past 10 years that “zero becomes a hero” and that by properly structuring various forms of annuities and life insurance, I can help my clients meet or exceed my clients’ expectations while eliminating their exposure to market risks. This philosophy has served both me and my clients.
I strongly believes there is significant academic evidence which illustrates that alternative approaches to retirement longevity, retirement income and legacy planning can result in better returns. These methods defy the “conventional wisdom” which says that if you have a diversified portfolio you will fare better than average. History will show that simply has not been true. Equities out perform all other assets classes - - sometimes. The alternative approach can and has produced superior results.
